Kass Severson grew up in Gunnison Colorado where he got his start in the golf business as a seasonal maintenance worker for Crested Butte Country Club. He then went on to Stonefly Earthworks based out of Montrose Colorado, where they specialized in golf course construction. After two years on the construction side, he then moved to the front range and worked at Saddle Back Country Club and Omni Interlocken Resort while he got a two year certificate in turf management at Front Range Community College. He then made the move to Grand Junction to become the Assistant Superintendent of Redlands Mesa and spent the next five years in that position before being promoted to Superintendent in 2016. Kass is married to Kelli Severson also a native to western Colorado and they have a son named Cash who can be seen golfing with his dad in the late evenings.
